Gender Equality

Introduction

ESGO is committed to fostering gender equity across all facets of gynecologic oncology. Through dedicated action, we aim to remove barriers, support career development, and empower all professionals — regardless of gender — to thrive in clinical, academic, and leadership roles.

Background

The Gender Equality efforts within ESGO began as part of the Embracing Gender Equality in Gynecologic Oncology Task Force, launched in 2022. Following strong community engagement and successful pilot initiatives, these activities evolved into a core stream within the ESGO EDI & Sustainability Committee. Our work is grounded in data, collaboration, and a vision of an inclusive professional community where everyone can succeed.
