World Gynecologic Oncology Day is global awareness project that raises awareness about gynaecological cancer prevention and aims to lift the burden of stigma surrounding these cancers.
The campaign, organised by ESGO and ENGAGe, has been running since 2019 and has grown exponentially every year. In 2025, there were almost 300 events organised by 167 organisations from 64 different countries.
World Gynecologic Oncology Day takes place every year on September 20th.
The theme of 2026 is ‘show support, not stigma’. We encourage everyone to get involved and be a part of this campaign that plays a vital role in prevention and in supporting those affected by gynaecological cancers.
