Why Join ESGO?

As an ESGO member, you…

Gain access to a huge collection of learning resources
  • eAcademy – ESGO’s exclusive collection of surgical videos, webinars, courses and congress recordings, e-modules, special lectures and more. There are over 5000 educational resources housed on eAcademy with more added every month. If you miss an ESGO webinar or course, many are also accessible via on-demand recordings.
  • Textbook of Gynaecological Oncology – this highly acclaimed textbook is currently in its 6th edition ‘Platinum Edition’ (2023), and together with continuously updated related online resources, features the latest literature in the field as well as demonstrative diagrams summarising operations step by step.
  • International Journal of Gynecological Cancer – ESGO membership includes a subscription to the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer (IJGC) as well as a discounted fee on open access for article publication.
  • LiFE Report – a selection of the most relevant articles in the field of gynaecological cancers, compiled every six months by our network of early-career clinicians (ENYGO).

Save on professional development opportunities
  • Congress – save up to 30% off a full-priced ticket for ESGO’s annual meeting – the largest European gathering of gynaecological oncologists and an invaluable opportunity for the community to connect and learn.
  • Exam – save up to 60% off the ESGO Examination in Gynaecological Oncology – a theoretical evaluation and high-level knowledge assessment that covers the entire subspeciality curriculum of gynaecological oncology.
  • Courses – ESGO organises courses at all levels, from basic to advanced, in topics such as robotic surgery, molecular pathology, hands-on training in surgical techniques and prevention – in a range of different formats (in-person, online or hybrid). These courses are offered at a significantly discounted rate for members.

Learn via our member-only training programmes
  • Subspeciality Certification – for clinicians seeking to get certified with the ESGO Diploma of European Gynaecological Oncologist.
  • Special Interest Training Modules – members can enrol in modules such as Minimal Invasive Surgery (GESEA3 Oncology: Laparoscopy) or Diagnostic and Interventional Ultrasound in Gynae Oncology. Additional modules will be announced throughout 2026.
  • Masterclass in Gynaecological Oncology – every two years, ESGO and ENYGO organise a three-day, in-person course that covers the entire curriculum of the gynaecological oncology subspeciality. This course is recommended for every early-career professional, whether a trainee or health care practitioner.
  • International Exchange Programmes – as a member, you can apply to take part in a short clinical visit or a longer travelling fellowship in a host institution (accredited in training by ESGO), fostering knowledge sharing and international collaboration.

Grow your network and become a leader
  • Networking – membership provides you with unique access to peers – whether it’s at the ESGO Congress, in-person training or online through webinars or via our Membership Directory, there are countless opportunities to connect with the gynaecological oncology community. Early-career gynaecological oncology professionals can join our European Network of Young Gynae Oncologists (ENYGO).
  • Mentoring – this programme connects mentors and mentees. Mentors share their expertise while supporting mentees to develop skills, gain guidance, and expand their networks.
  • Volunteer – members can get involved in a range of ESGO activities and contribute skills and expertise. We’re always looking for volunteers to be a part of our working groups and committees.
  • Leadership – every ESGO full member has voting rights and the ability to self-nominate for formal leadership positions, such as being a member of the ESGO Council and truly influencing the future of the society.
  • Endorsed Meetings – as a member, you can have your meeting endorsed by ESGO.

Contribute to our shared mission
ESGO aims to improve the health and well-being of women with gynaecological cancers through advocacy, prevention, research, excellence in care and education. By being a part of our society, you too will be contributing to this mission.
