An exclusive hybrid course for young fellows and trainees with no experience in robotic surgery but preferably with some knowledge or exposure to the system.

The Course programme features interactive theoretical sessions and dry lab exercises at the ORSI training centre in Ghent, Belgium.

The course is organized by ESGO in collaboration with ENYGO.

 

Target audience

The ideal profile of the course candidate is a young surgeon with no experience but some knowledge of or exposure to robotic surgery. Candidates should be fluent in English. This course is limited for 36 participants.

Learning Objectives

The Course aims to introduce the robotic approach to young surgeons with no experience with robotic surgery (Da Vinci Si or Xi) but preferably with some knowledge or exposure to the system.  It is an exclusive opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills.

The Course program combines interactive theoretical sessions and dry lab exercises.

Registration

» Limited space of 36 participants

As a result of the inherent limited space, the 36 participants, ENYGO members, will be selected with respect to geographical balance of countries and regions as well as level of experience judged by the committee, according to the brief description of professional background provided during the application process.

Confirmations will be made upon selection by the Applications Committee.

Course Package Fees

ENYGO member – from high-income countries 200 Eur
ENYGO member country list A and B** 100 Eur
*ESGO is not a VAT payer

**Categories A and B are defined according to the World Bank Country Classification of Upper-middle-income economies (List A) and lower-middle and low-income countries  (List B).

 

Fee includes:

  • Admission fee to the course
  • Accommodation for 2 nights in a single room, in a standard hotel in the vicinity of the course venue in Ghent
  • Travel to/from the airport to ORSI Academy, Belgium and to/from the hotel will be arranged.
  • Coffee breaks, lunches and welcome diner

 

Payment details and cancellation conditions

  • The course fee must be paid immediately upon confirmation of attendance.
  • The payment can be processed only through the registration system
  • The reservation can only be confirmed upon receipt of payment.

 

Cancelation and Refund Policy

  • Before June 1, 2021 - Refund of 50%
  • Starting June 1, 2021 - Non-Refundable

In registering for the course participants agree that the organizer is not responsible for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Participants are requested to arrange their own travel and health insurance. The organizer cannot assume liability for changes in the program due to external circumstances.

CME Accreditation

The ENYGO Introduction to Robotic Surgery, Melle, Belgium, 16/09/2021-16/09/2021 and 17/09/2021-17/09/2021has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 7 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity

Travel

Travel costs to from the airport to ORSI Academy, Belgium and to and from the hotel will be arranged. Travel costs to Belgium are responsibility of the attendees.

Do not arrange your flight ticket before your registration is confirmed.

Accommodation for 2 nights in a single room in Ghent, Belgium, in a standard hotel will be arranged and paid by ESGO.
