NHS eLearning Course on Genetic Testing for Lynch Syndrome at Endometrial Cancer Diagnosis
Unselected genetic testing at endometrial cancer diagnosis is now recommended in guidelines for all endometrial cancer patients to identify those with MMR deficiency and Lynch Syndrome. However, implementation in practice has been variable across clinical services, cancer teams and health systems.
Due to a lack of resources in clinical genetics services, this testing is now being implemented by health professionals in cancer teams, but there remains a gap in the training of gynaecology and gynae oncology professionals to deliver the testing and counselling.
In order to address the issue and support training and implementation, the UK National Health Service (NHS) has developed training modules for healthcare professionals involved in gynae cancer care including doctors (consultants/trainees), nurses, and allied health professionals.

How long does the training take?
The training consists of three interactive modules and takes approximately one hour to complete.
Can I get a certificate?
Online certification is available immediately for those who complete the pre-programme knowledge assessment, the three e-learning modules, and the programme feedback.
Is there a registration fee?
NHS has made this training free and available to international colleagues through their eIntegrity portal which can be accessed below.
