The Giovanni Scambia Award for Exceptional Mentorship was initiated at the ESGO 2026 Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark. Created in memory of Giovanni Scambia, whose visionary leadership and dedication to education inspired the gynaecological oncology community, the award recognises exceptional mentors who inspire excellence, foster innovation, and nurture the professional growth of others.
