Managing gynecological cancers in pregnancy is one of the most complex challenges in oncology. To support patients and healthcare teams, ESGO—together with the International Network on Cancer, Infertility and Pregnancy (INCIP)—has developed comprehensive, evidence-based guidelines.
These guidelines, first published in 2019 and recently updated, bring together the expertise of 21 international specialists, patient advocates, and 100 external reviewers worldwide. They provide practical algorithms and recommendations covering:
Safe diagnostic imaging and pathology during pregnancy
Surgical decision-making and timing
Systemic therapy and radiation considerations
Obstetric management and maternal–fetal follow-up
Patient perspectives and psychological support
Pediatric and long-term child outcomes
The guidelines ensure that every decision is grounded in the latest evidence and shaped by a truly multidisciplinary, global perspective.
To help clinicians translate these recommendations into practice, ESGO and INCIP are launching the new year with a dedicated interactive webinar:
Date: January 6, 2026Time: 18:00 CETFormat: 90 minutes, with case presentations, expert lectures, polls, and live panel discussions
Join the guideline chairs and international experts as they walk through real-life cases, explore diagnostic and treatment pathways across trimesters, and discuss how to optimize care for both mother and child.
