The updated ESGO Guidelines for the Management of Ovarian Cancer will be officially introduced during the ESGO Congress 2026 in Copenhagen.
For the first time since the original 2017 surgical guidelines, ESGO is delivering a fully comprehensive, multidisciplinary update, reflecting the evolution of ovarian cancer care over the past decade.
The new recommendations will be presented across two dedicated congress sessions, structured to mirror the breadth of the guideline update and provide clinicians with practical, evidence-based guidance for modern clinical decision-making.
These sessions will offer:
Key updates in surgical standards
Integration of systemic and targeted therapies
Pathology and molecular considerations
Multidisciplinary treatment strategies
The Copenhagen Congress will mark the first public presentation of this major update.
The project is led by:
Dr. Ane Gerda Zahl Eriksson (Norway)
Prof. Anna Fagotti (Italy)
Methodological oversight is provided by François Planchamp, ESGO methodologist.
Following the Congress presentation, ESGO will host two dedicated educational webinars (90 minutes each) to further disseminate and discuss the updated recommendations:
12 May 2026
11 June 2026
These sessions will:
Expand on the Congress presentations
Provide in-depth exploration of key recommendations
Feature expert lectures
Include interactive discussion and Q&A
Further details regarding programme structure and speakers will be announced soon.
These webinars are designed for healthcare professionals involved in the management of ovarian cancer across all stages of care, including:
