GESEA Expert Level 3 Oncology

Overview

The GESEA Expert Level 3 Oncology Diploma represents the highest level of surgical accreditation within the GESEA Educational Programme, developed in collaboration between ESGE and ESGO.

This expert-level programme is designed for experienced gynaecological oncologists who wish to demonstrate advanced competence in minimally invasive oncological surgery through structured training, clinical exposure, and rigorous skills-based assessment.

Programme Structure

The GESEA Expert Level 3 Oncology Diploma consists of three core components:

  • Expert-level eLearning modules in advanced oncological procedures
  • Clinical attachment (minimum four weeks) in ESGO-accredited centres across Europe
  • Objective surgical skills assessment based on submitted procedural videos

The GESEA Level 3 Oncology certification confirms expert proficiency in complex oncological laparoscopic procedures and adherence to the highest European standards of surgical quality and patient safety.

Certification

Successful candidates receive the GESEA Expert Level 3 Oncology Diploma, jointly endorsed by ESGE and ESGO, confirming expert competence in minimally invasive oncological surgery.
