The European Society for Medical Oncology and Rare Cancers Europe have joined forces to present the first Conference addressing the scientific and educational needs of relevant stakeholder groups concerning challenges and potential solutions in the field of clinical research on rare cancers. Conference offers an opportunity for a wide variety of stakeholders to identify barriers to implementing effective and efficient methodology in clinical research on rare cancers, and to debate scenarios for solutions.

The goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of current medical therapy of soft tissue sarcomas and GIST, with a focus on both multidisciplinary clinical approach and molecular and pathological bases of these diseases

This is an exciting and unique event that will feature the prestigious faculty from the Department of Gynecologic Oncology of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, Department of Gynecologic Oncology MD Anderson España, and of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. The meeting is aimed at participants who specialize in Gynecologic Oncology, Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Radiation Therapists, as well as all health care providers interested in learning the latest updates on the treatment of cancers affecting the gynecologic tract.

The Masterclass in benign gynecological surgery will feature live surgery and/or prerecorded unedited video demonstrations of simple and extraperitoneal hysterectomy, myomectomy, sacrocolpopexy, uterocolpopexi, repair of lateral vaginal wall defects and robotic surgery in advanced PID with a focus on practical performance, instrumentation, tips and tricks as well as surgical anatomy.

This meeting will serve as a valuable forum for the presentation and discussion of newly available data across various gynecologic malignancies including ovarian, cervical, and endometrial cancers. Participants will be provided with updates on practice-changing data in a practical and interactive format, fostering discussion, and impacting clinical outcomes for patients.

The Masterclass feature live surgery demonstrations of radical nerve sparing hysterectomy and pelvic and paraaortic lymphadenectomy with a focus on practical performance, instrumentation and tips as well as surgical and neural anatomy performed entirely with the da Vinci system. One day practical training in robot simulators is included in the course. Special program for OR nurses is available.

Past editions of the International Video Workshop proved that video is the best educational tool in surgery. The upcoming 3rd IVW is dedicated to practical demonstrations of standard procedures, novel techniques and useful tricks presented by prominent international faculty.

IMPAKT is a unique Breast Cancer Conference bridging the gap between research and clinic while also providing the right environment for young professionals to network with and access the knowledge of their senior counterparts. IMPAKT focuses on translational research in breast cancer and on innovative ways of developing new agents.

The program covers recent advances in the underlying mechanisms in ovarian cancer, with a focus on applying that knowledge to the prevention, detection and treatment of the disease and its recurrence. Emphasis is on personalized medicine.

The programme will cover all established, and a number of possible new, applications of robot assisted laparoscopic surgery in gynecology and gynecological oncology with separate programmes for benign and oncological applications.

The ESMO Congress will retain its long-standing tradition of providing a unique forum for presenting both the latest research results and less obvious or more controversial topics: from translational research advances to innovative trial design, from powerful diagnostic technologies to side-effects management. It will also focus on the recent evidence-based advances with an immediate impact on cancer management.
