Overview

The future university chairs and key ESGO and ENYGO leaders in the XXIth century global competition should be good physicians and managers  with a strong  attitude  to collaborative research.

They will need to be able to share their experience, results, and knowledge. They will have to be respected by their staff not only because they are the head of department, but because they are able to lead the team and  promote the growth of all  the members

One more joint initiative of the ESGO and  of  its very active young gynecologic oncologists group ENYGO is a workshop designed to inspire those attitudes and develop those skills that are very often neglected

 

The 6 days programme will be divided into two parts:

On day 1 of the first part  of the ENYGO Future Leaders Academy (November/December 2018)  ESGO leaders and other well known speakers  will give lectures on operating and communicating within an international cooperation.

 

The Communication workshop organized during Day 2 and 3 will focus on communication and presentations skills, helping the participants to make presentations more interactive. They will also improve their skills when chairing a meeting or making a media presentation.

Communication workshop

 

Lectures delivered during the second part of the ENYGO Future Leaders Academy (January/February 2019) will be mainly focused on working and communicating within a team (health personnel, patients and carers).

Second part will also include a 2-day workshop on Leadership skills – focusing on individual participants by using Hogan testing; the course will help participants to understand how they work under stress and how this influences their environment (colleagues, family). Participants will have the opportunity to explore their strengths and development areas and build a solid base for an effective and successful leadership attitude.

Leadership workshop

 

An international faculty of leading experts in the field will contribute to the program. Participation is mandatory  throughout  all  the course and both parts need to be attended.

The Future Leaders Academy will be conducted entirely in English.

General Information 

The Communication part of the programme will take place in Brussels, Belgium. 

Course attendance is limited to 14 participants, and applications will be evaluated and selected by ESGO-ENYGO committee.

General Conditions

  • Only applicants who are active ESGO/ENGYO members and who have paid the course fee will be considered for participation.
  • Paid ESGO/ENYGO membership for 2018 is a mandatory condition for being considered.

  • Please note that each application must include:
  1. Short CV
  2. Motivation statement
  3. List of publications and presentations
  4. Recommendation letter from the affiliation institution (mentor, Head of department or similar) (ESGO member)

as mandatory parts of the application.

Insurance

In registering for the ENYGO Future Leaders Academy participants agree that the organizer is not responsible for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Participants are requested to arrange their own travel and health insurance. The organizer can't assume liability for changes in the program due to external circumstances.
