About ESGO

ESGO is the principal European Society of Gynecological Oncology contributing to the study, prevention and treatment of gynaecological cancer. Today, ESGO has over 1'100 members in more than 30 countries in Europe.

Together with the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS), ESGO publishes the bi-monthly International Journal of Gynecological Cancer (IJGC) a respected and frequently referenced journal covering many topics including basic science, epidemiology, diagnostic techniques, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, pathology and experimental studies.

ESGO’s biennial conference regularly attracts over 1,800 participants, and enables health care professionals and researchers  to network, discuss, debate, and disseminate new medical and scientific studies. In addition to its conferences, ESGO organises a number of educational events, workshops and endorsed meetings throughout the year and provides travelling fellowships and research/clinical grants to its members.

ESGO is also active in developing educational tools such as videos, DVDs, and webcasted lectures for the use of relevant health professionals.

In order to answer to the needs of its members, ESGO created different networks as the ENGOT (European Network of Gynaecological Oncological Trial Groups) and the ENYGO (European Network of Young Gynae Oncologists).
