Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), we are pleased to invite you to the 14 th International Meeting of ESGO in Istanbul, Turkey, from September 25-29, 2005.

During this special gathering you will learn about the latest clinical advances, translational research findings, new medical treatments and new surgical techniques in the field of women’s cancer.

The Organising Committee and the ESGO Council have set up special sessions: meet the expert sessions, video sessions, and tumor boards. However, the most important sessions will be the plenary sessions with free communications and poster sessions. We really hope that you will send your best abstracts to ESGO 14! We plan a top quality meeting with many invited speakers and several industry sponsored symposia where you will learn about the most recent developments. There will be plenty of time to meet your colleagues and visit the exhibition with the most important companies.

The ESGO carries on the tradition of dedicating itself to the fight for cures and prevention of gynaecological cancers and to further development of Gynaecological Oncology in Europe. The organisation of ESGO 14 will be taken care of by our long-term professional meeting organiser, Kenes International.

The recent achievements of ESGO are outstanding and include the establishment of our headquarters in Geneva, the joint publication with the IGCS of the International Journal of Gynecologic Cancer and the most successful last meeting in Brussels in 2003.

The Organising Committee has also arranged a very colourful social programme. We are sure that you will enjoy Turkish hospitality and the amazing city of Istanbul during the fall of 2005.
