Mission
To stimulate and bring forward the translational research and bridge with applications to clinical trials and treatment in women specific cancer
Objectives
To create a new tradition of a small focused workshop on translational research organized annually/biannually (in non congress year).
To bring together successful groups in order to generate a trans-European network of excellence in translational women’s cancer research.
To translate at least one finding from basic science into clinical routine application within the next 10 years.
ESGO’s intention is to create a platform and bring together Europe’s leading scientists and clinical academics in the field of women specific cancers to establish the women’s cancer translational research network with the long-term perspective to run large EU-funded transeuropean research programs.
ESGO has invited European leading scientists in the field of epidemiology (Prof Valerie Beral, Oxford, UK), molecular carcinogenesis (Prof René Bernards, Amsterdam, NL), personalized medicine and molecular imaging (Prof Liesbeth de Vries, Groningen, NL), virology (Prof Lutz Gissmann, Heidelberg, GER), pathology (Prof Kurt Zatloukal, Graz, AUT), cancer genetics (Prof Peter Fasching, Erlangen, GER), proteomics (Prof Lukas Huber, Innsbruck, AUT) and epigenetics (Prof Martin Widschwendter, London, UK).
ESGO would like to invite all his members to submit an application to participate at the ESGO Translational Research Winter Workshop.
