Promoting and supporting educational activities is one of the main tools to achieve high standards of professional care for gynaecological oncology and one of ESGO's key missions. ESGO offers official endorsement of local European meetings/courses with good quality educational programs in gynaecological oncology. Furthermore, ESGO is committed to contribute to the scientific programmes and bring leading European speakers to share and spread the knowledge.
To apply for ESGO endorsement is one of benefit of ESGO membership. The meetings are organised independently by local organisers (national societies, hospitals, institutions) in accordance with specific local needs but can be formally recognised by ESGO, provided they fulfil the requirements outlined in the ESGO Endorsement Guidelines, for their quality and educational value.
All applications are reviewed by the ESGO Meeting committee while the final decision is done by the ESGO Council. Applications should be submitted sufficient time in advance (minimum 6 months) allowing approval at regular Council meetings held twice throughout the year. No decision will be taken without a scientific program detailing topics, speakers and schedule. All proposals for endorsement should be addressed to the ESGO Administrative Office at adminoffice@esgomail.org by email.
